In an attempt to break the ice and start getting some discussions rolling around here, I would like to dedicate this post as a space for everyone to freely introduce and say a little bit about themselves. You could:

• Tell us about one of your favourite pieces of fanwork that someone / or yourself have made.
• Talk about a favourite character or pairing (or maybe, just the character or pairing that surprised you the most).
• Tell us about your favourite story or adaption, and what it is that makes you love that version so much.
• How it was you came across these stories / the show in the first place.

I'm a filthy multishipper, but I'm absolutely wild for Liang Jiuxiao/Zhou Zishu right now (currently writing a longish fic about them). I work on several zines for the fandom either as a mod or contributor, and I also mod SHL Reverse Bang.

I fell in love with Wenzhou when shl was airing and I haven't left. I especially love the found family and freak4freak aspects of their story. ^_^

Hi! I'm Minna, mynaminnarr on twitter/minnarr on tumblr.

I'm a Zhou Zishu girl always, apparently; there are just so many layers to him in the different stories he appears in, so many ways to look at him. I thought I was going to be Wenzhou-only with him, but I've been startled to be into both Hanwenzhou (particularly in scenarios where Han Ying is no longer ZZS' subordinate) and ZZS/JBY (varying along the spectrum from platonic to romantic attachment). I'm also just fond of side characters so you'll see them pop up in my writing and thoughts on the canon constantly. (Favorite ones to rotate apparently include Chengling, Jinwang, Shen Shen, and Su Qingluan).

My favorite section of the fandom is Word of Honor. There's things about it that appeal to me that are less emphasized in others, especially the way losing and restoring Siji and the relationships based on it are so central. I haven't actually read more than a little of TYK (although I am interested!) and I also really liked Qi Ye for very different reasons - the twisty political intrigue and deep loyalty and the underworld stuff.

Hi everyone!

I'm hinotoriii on AO3/twitter, or theyilinglaozus on tumblr. I'm also the mod for immortalwanderers - but more in the sense I babysit and make sure all is a-okay while everyone has fun in the fandom playground.

I fell in love with these stories through the drama first, and then the novels later. I never really expected the series to grab me as hard as it did, yet here I am nearly two years after finding this fandom and still loving it just as much as I did on day one.

My favourite character is Zhou Zishu. I went into the show fully expecting it to be Wen Kexing who would win the number one spot, but there was something about Zhou Zishu's character that I just connected with. When it comes to writing fanfiction a lot of the time I love exploring Zhou Zishu's potential thoughts, as there is just so much room for complexity in his story. I'm also a huge fan of his friendship with Jing Beiyuan, and am always hungry for more stories about the two of them during the Qi Ye days.

It's very lovely to meet the new faces here, as well as to see some familiar faces too! I hope this platform is something that helps our lovely community continue to grow in the future <3

Hello! I'm Lau (laurus_nobilis at AO3, octarina at tumblr/twitter).

I got into Word of Honor last year through recs from friends + a group watch. As much as I love WenZhou (and I really do), my surprise fave turned out to be Ye Baiyi. But it's one of those canons where I love pretty much everybody. From there I got into Qi Ye, because I knew I would love Beiyuan, and I was very right about that but Wu Xi ended up stealing my heart too.

I really like both stories for different reasons, but Qi Ye is the one that truly gets me in a fannish mood.

I'm really glad that there's a DW comm now! Hopefully it'll help me get more active in this fandom. <3
